This elegant antique silver plated “Surtout de table” (table platter) was crafted in France, circa 1840. Oval in shape, the large tray stands on four small scrolled feet and features a pierces gallery around the perimeter embellished with an inset mercury glass mirrored plateau. The dish is in very good condition commensurate with use and age, and adorns a rich patinated silver finish. Mercury spots on the plateau.
