Crafted in France, circa 1870 and built of oak wood, this single door confiturier (or jelly cabinet), stands on bracket feet over a scalloped apron decorated with a center floral medallion. The antique cabinet features a large door with arched top, decorated with a beautifully carved neoclassical vase in high relief dressed with female figure, and resting on a bed of acanthus leaf motif; the door is further embellished with floral swags on both sides. The inside reveals an adjustable shelf for ultimate storage. Both cut-corners are embellished at the shoulder with high relief floral and leaf decor. The tall and narrow cabinet is in excellent condition with a rich bleached patinated finish; a perfect storage piece for a powder room, bedroom or entryway! Key included.
