19th Century French Napoleon III Carved Oak Pedestal Table with Needlepoint Top
Decorate a den or a study with this elegant antique side table; crafted in southern France, circa 1870 and round in shape, the occasional table stands on a carved barley twist stem decorated with acanthus leaf motifs over three scrolled legs and upside down central finial. The circular top is dressed with the original handwoven needlepoint upholstery decorated with bead floral motifs and embellished with decorative brass nail heads around the carved rim. The detailed, unique end table is in excellent condition, and adorns a rich walnut patina and colorful tapestry in the pale blue and beige palette. Very versatile, use it as a occasional side table anywhere in your house! Measures: 25″ diameter 29.5″ height.
