19th Century French Napoleon III Carved Walnut Desserte Console with Vine Motifs
Decorate a wine cellar or dining room with this elegant antique desserte table. Crafted in France circa 1870 and built in two pieces, the long display table stands on front fluted legs. The upper section dressed with decorative finials at the pediment and a top shelf, features high carving motifs of vine and grape decor flanked with hand carved dolphin figures on both sides of the top surface. The lower section is dressed with four drawers across the front embellished with ornate bronze handles; the bottom features open shelving for ultimate display. The credenza is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina. Place this functional serving piece in a breakfast room, or den for additional food or majolica collection display.
