Crafted in Lyon, France circa 1880 and made of walnut, the stairs features five graduated steps to one side and connected to the opposing support with a wooden and metal action folding mechanism. Practical and useful, the ladder can be put away if needed (5″ when folded). The elegant Napoleon III step ladder is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina and wonderful character; place this whimsical antique ladder in a study or library to access tall cabinets or shelving.
