Place this elegant antique tole tray on a coffee table, in a master bathroom, or hang it on a wall. Crafted in France, circa 1870, and oval in shape, the colorful platter with pierced side handles, is decorated with a hand painted center medallion depicting a romantic scene in the manner of Boucher or Fragonard; wonderful details throughout the painting. The Napoleon III style tray table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with rich patinated colors on a dark green background embellished with a discrete gilt leaf motif around the perimeter.
