19th Century, French Napoleon III Painted Tole Wall Clock
This feminine colorful clock was created in France, circa 1870. Octagonal in shape, and made of metal and brass, the time keeper features a decorative round brass finial at the top and is embellished with a brass rim around the front door; the clock is decorated with hand painted pastoral scenes in the black and mustard palette. The original movement has been replaced with a quartz battery operated mechanism, and keeps very good time. The antique clock is in excellent condition with rich patinated colors. Measures: 16″ W x 20.5″ H.
