19th Century French Napoleon III Rosewood & Brass Jewelry Box with Painted Scene
Created in France circa 1880 in the manner of Andre Charles Boulle, the rectangular box, is decorated with arabesques of gilded brass inlay motifs in each corner and embellished with a central medallion with hand painted landscape scene. The inside is upholstered with a pink silk fabric. The delicate jewelry box is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated rosewood finish. Key included.
