This beautiful and masculin antique wooden and repousse tole mirror was crafted in Southern France, circa 1860. The ornate, stately piece features an armor helmet on the top pediment flanked by two armored Renaissance guards on either side, and leaf decor in each corner. The intricate, heavy piece has its original beveled mercury glass and wood backing. The dark, wooden frame has a beautiful patina throughout and is embellished with repousse work and gilt accents. Place this elegant overlay mirror in a man’s office or a powder room for the ultimate Gothic look. Measures: 33″ W x 55″ H.
