19th Century French Neoclassical Painted Iron Garden Urn Planter on Stand
Crafted in France circa 1880 in the neoclassical style, the antique planter sits on a tall square pedestal stand decorated with foliage motifs. The “Chambord” vase features a square base over a circular foot; the jardiniere is decorated with a flared rim with egg-dart molding, and dual scrolled foliate handles over a gadrooned body. Both garden urn and base are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn the original patinated green painted finish with evidence of outdoor use; it would make an elegant statement on a patio, or around a swimming pool. Stand: 20″ x 20″D x 34.5″H. Vase: 38″W x 24″D x 25″H.
