19th Century French Ormulu and White Marble Mantel Clock with Wood Base and Dome
Place this elegant antique spelter and marble clock on a mantel or an office shelf. Crafted in France circa 1880, the ornate time keeper features a standing young man in front of his horse at the pediment. The porcelain clock face is decorated on both side with white marble. The clock movement is signed Mesnier Fils Paris for further authentication and provenance. The timepiece has been checked and cleaned, is in excellent working order, and keeps good time – striking on the hour and half hour. The Napoleon III clock has a beautiful gilt finish, and features its original dome and wooden base. Clock itself: 13″ W x 5″ D x 16″ H Wood base and dome: 16″ W x 18″ H.
