19th Century French Painted Ceramic Barbotine Table Lamp from Montigny-sur-Loing
This beautiful, hand painted Majolica vase converted into a table lamp was sculpted in Montigny sur Loing, France, circa 1870. This black, green and grey ceramic vase stands on a wooden base and is decorated with colorful high relief fruit motifs hanging on branches embellished with green leaves. The large porcelain piece has been converted into a table lamp with dual lights and on/off switch chains. The sculptural vase is in very good condition, commensurate with age and use with rich colors in the green, pink, blue and yellow palette. Some glazing missing on the surface. Shade not included. Measures: 12″ diameter 32″ height.
