Decorate a console table or an office desk with this elegant antique bronze chanticleer. Crafted in France circa 1890, this sculpture, modeled after Auguste Cain’s (1822-1894) popular works, features a rooster standing on a rectangular rocky base with mouth open in a morning craw; the sculpture is signed by the artist J. Rabiant. This bucolic and tall proud rooster sculpture, symbol of France, is in excellent condition, with a beautiful plumage, and adorns a wonderful patinated bronze finish. Jean Rabiant was a French sculptor from the late 19th century. Auguste Nicholas Caïn (1821-1894) was a noted French sculptor in the Animaliers school, known for his portrayals of wild and domesticated animals. Measures: 13″ W x 9″ D x 26.5″ H.
