19th Century French Patinated Polished Iron Door Knocker
This unusual antique “hortoir”, or iron door knocker, was crafted in France, circa 1880. The charming cast iron door hardware is in the shape of a hand clutching a bowl or piece of fruit. The hand is accessorized with a ring on the middle finger and a ribboned cuff on the wrist. The top has a tilting ornate square plaque with inside screw for easy installation. The iron door knocker is in excellent condition with a patinated polished finish, and will be a stand-out attribute to any entrance door. Measures: 2.75″ W x 3″ D x 7.5″ H.
