19th Century French Patinated Tole Rooster Weather Vane with the Cardinal Points
This elegant tole weather vane was created in Normandy, France, circa 1860. The traditional weather vane features a Classic swivel French chanticleer rooster standing on an arrow; below, the four points of the compass which swivel as well according to wind direction. The piece has its timeworn, original green and brown patinated finish and is in excellent condition. A true one of a kind! The weather-vane stands on a contemporary base which can be removed.
