19th Century French Rosewood Bombe Jardinière with Marquetry and Bronze Mounts

This beautifully crafted, oval Napoleon III fruitwood planter was crafted in Paris, France circa 1870. The antique, rosewood and ebony jardinière features marquetry and parquetry motifs including a very detailed inlay of colorful flowers and leaves on both sides. The top of the planter has a decorative bronze gallery around the bombe rim and pearl trim around the base, embellished with side handles. All four corners features ornate decorative bronze mounts finished with scrolled shell motifs feet at the bottom. The luxurious cache pot is in excellent condition with the original f tole liner and adorns a rich patinated finish. Measures: 17.5″ W x 11.5″ D x 7″ H.
