About
This elegant paper binding press was forged in France, circa 1870. The Classic “Presse a Relier” made of solid iron is almost square in shape and dressed with a plaque which reads: “Instruments & Fourniture pour Ingenieurs, H. Morin, 5 rue Boursault, Paris”. The top is connected to the manual screw controlled by a wide top double-handle. This heavy tool is in excellent working order, and adorns a rich patinated bronze finish with gilt painted accents. Decorate a shelf in a study or library with this wonderful device accessory! In the old days, this kind of “Presses a Papier” were used to press the book’s sheets together before receiving a bookbinding. Measures: 15″ W x 12.5″ D x 14″ H.
