This beautiful antique Holy Bible was printed in Philadelphia, by A. J. Holman & C. Dated 1891 and written in German, the “Familien Bibel” features the old and new testament. The religious script is translated out of the original tongues and with the former translations diligently compared and revised. The holy book is fully illustrated with plates from original paintings by eminent artists; it also has colored maps, family register and numerous illustrative engravings in color. The bible is in excellent condition and set in an ornate red and gilt tooled leather cover with gold edges.
