Crafted in Italy circa 1880, the carved bust stands on an attached square base and depicts a young lady reading a book one hand holding her head. The sculpture is well done with wonderful details including the lace collar, her curly hair and her sweet expression. Signed on the book and on the back by the artist R. Bernardi Praga, the sculpture is in excellent condition with a rich patinated finish. Measures: 8.5” W x 8.5” D x 16” H.
