19th Century Italian Carved Silvered and Painted Pricket Candlestick
The tall antique candlestick was crafted in Italy, circa 1880. Standing on three scrolled feet over a triangle base, the pic cierge features a carved stem with acanthus leaf motifs and a metal pricket at the top to hold a candle. The candlestick is decorated with its original silver leaf and painted beige palette. The religious item is in very good condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich silver leaf and beige finish. Candlestick a little crooked or warped, but sits fine on a table.
