Bring the Italian elegance in your office with this important, antique Renaissance revival writing table. Crafted in Italy circa 1870, the fruitwood trestle table stands on two carved cartouche support ending with paw feet. Both scrolled legs decorated with carved shields and Fleur-de-Lys, are connected with a thick scalloped stretcher embellished with a center carved shell along with foliage motifs on the sides. The rectangular tabletop fitted with two side by side drawers and dressed with wooden knobs, is decorated with a foliate border on molded edge. The large desk is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Place it in a study, den or office, or use it as a console against a wall. Measures: 62.5″ W x 33″ D x 30.75″ H.
