Created in France circa 1920, this elegant antique desk stands on cabriole legs decorated with bronze figural ormulu mounts at the shoulders and ending with sabots over the feet. The writing table features three serpentine drawers across the front decorated with geometric marquetry motifs and bronze handles, over a scalloped apron with bombe sides all around. The cartouche shaped top mounted with bronze decor around the edges, is dressed with an inset dark brown leather surface and embossed gilt motifs around the perimeter. The bureau plat is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina and dressed with exquisite patinated ormulu embellishments. Place this desk in the center of an office or study for the ultimate French look. Measures: 59.75″ W x 29.5″ D x 32.25″ H.
