About
Serve breakfast in bed with style using this vintage tray! Crafted in Portugal, circa 1990, the large ceramic tray is embellished with two handles which facilitate ease of carrying. The hand-painted serving platter features a traditional hunting scene, depicting a man blowing a hunting trumpet as two dogs chase a stag through the series of hills. There is a set of words painted on the bottom, indicating that the tray is hand-painted and produced by Estrela de Conimbriga in Portugal. The faience tray is in excellent condition with soft patinated colors in the traditional blue and white Delft palette. Can easily be used to add a traditional, elevated touch when hosting guests or serving a meal. The ceramics factory Estrela de Conimbriga is located in the town of Condeixa-a-Nova, in the coastal strip of the central region of Portugal, about 192 km north of Lisbon. Founded in 1975 with about 50 employees, the factory has been devoted to the production of artistic and decorative ceramic, and to utilitarian tableware of high quality and different decorations. The decorative faience is inspired by traditional Portuguese and Moorish ceramic of the 17th and 18th centuries. Measures: 15.25″ W x 9.5″ D x 1.25″ H.
