This elegant and unusual fruitwood table with a decorative brass bowl was created in Spain, circa 1800. The ornate, octagonal table sits on eight bun feet and decorated with brass medallions and square nailheads in geometric patterns. The top has a removable brass tray with intricate handles with shell motifs. Excellent condition with rich walnut patina. In its original use, this kind of “Brasero” table (from the French term “Brasier”), was used as a heater. Today, this kind of piece could be used as a decorative bowl or would make a wonderful greenery jardiniere! Measures: 36.5″ W x 36.5″ D x 6.5″ H. SKU: 173-77
