Early 20th Century French Carved Painted Set of Eight Louis XV Dining Chairs
Decorate a dining room with this elegant set of antique, painted, dining room chairs. Crafted in Lyon, France circa 1920, each comfortable side chair stands on cabriole legs with escargot feet over a scalloped apron and a wide and deep seat. The tall pitched back is arched, and features carved decor around the frame, which includes a hand carved shell at the pediment. Each chair is upholstered with a neutral white muslin while waiting for new fabric. The chairs are in excellent condition with a richly patinated, painted finish in a light blue palette. These pieces would make a delicate, traditional addition to a dining room or breakfast nook. Measures: 21.5″ W x 18″ D x 40″ H.
