Early 20th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut Bombe Salt Box from Provence
This elegant, antique fruitwood salt box was crafted in southern, France, circa 1920. The ornate, decorative, walnut box sits on delicate escargot feet over a scalloped apron decorated with a shell motif; it features beautiful carvings throughout including a vase and floral decor. The piece has a small but usable drawer at the bottom dressed with a brass knob, and a lift up top to reveal inside storage. The kitchen accessory is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina, and could be used on a counter, a shelf or hung on a wall. Measures: 7.75″ W x 5.5″ D x 16.5″ H.
