Early 20th Century French Louis XV Carved Walnut Inlay Commode with Beige Marble
Crafted in France, circa 1920, the two-tone fruitwood cabinet sits on cabriole legs; it features two bombe drawers across the front decorated with inlay and veneer floral embellishments. The commode is further dressed with bronze mounts over the scalloped apron and on the canted corners. The French chest of drawers has curved serpentine sides embellished with veneer inlay decoration. The surface has its original bombe and curved mosaic beige and brown Griotte marble top. Versatile and practical, the timeless nightstand is in excellent condition and has a rich walnut patina with patinated bronze decorations. Key included.
