This elegant, antique vitrine was crafted in Provence, France, circa 1920. The fruitwood “Bonnetiere” (single door armoire) stands on small cabriole legs decorated with acanthus leaves, ending with escargot feet. It features a scalloped apron decorated with the traditional vase basket over a carved drawer dressed with iron handle. The bonnet top with removable crown features a carved flower basket flanked with floral and leaf motifs on the sides. The front door and both sides are dressed with glass panels. The inside reveals three adjustable shelves. The Louis XV Provincial vitrine is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich walnut patina. Place this hand carved Provencal display cabinet in an entry or breakfast room for a true Country French look! Lock and key included. Measure: 33.5″ W x 18″ D x 78.5″ H.
