About
Decorate an entry or hallway with this elegant antique side table. Crafted in France circa 1920 and built of walnut with ormolu embellishments, the classic cabinet exemplifies the Louis XV style with a heavy presence, dramatic lines and beautiful gilt accents throughout. The table stands on cabriole legs ending with decorative bronze-covered feet, over a scalloped apron decorated with swirling acanthus and straight-edge geometric motifs; the occasional table is further dressed with a bottom shelf for additional display. The table features one single bombe drawer decorated with bronze mounts. The drawer is further embellished with intricate geometric parquetry motifs. The shaped and scalloped surface is dressed with an inset variegated marble top in the rust, gray, and white palette, and each corner is embellished with bronze decorations. The table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a well-maintained rich walnut patina; it would make perfect table to display porcelain objects, frames, and more. It is unusually heavy at weighing at 50 pounds! Measures: 25.75″ W x 18″ D x 28.75″ H.
