Early 20th Century French Louis XV Walnut Four-Drawer Chest with Red Marble Top
This elegant fruitwood antique commode was crafted in Paris, circa 1920. Versatile, the rectangular petite cabinet could be used as a small storage cabinet in a powder room. The commode sits on cabriole legs with mounts over the feet over a scalloped apron. The front has four drawers with geometric parquetry decor and embellished with the original pulls and escutcheons. The cabinet is further decorated with bronze mounts in the corners, and the sides feature marquetry and parquetry decor. The top is dressed with the original rouge marble with white veins. The traditional cabinet is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina, delicate marquetry and parquetry veneer embellishments. Key included. Measures: 17″ W x 12.75″ D x 37.25″ H.
