Decorate a dining room or kitchen with this elegant antique bronze rooster from, France. Named “Le Reveil 1914” (the Awakening), this sculpture is modeled and signed after Auguste Cain (1822-1894). The base is engraved “Susse Freres Edition Paris.”, and there is also a foundry stamp on the base. This bucolic sculpture not only has a beautiful patina, but this proud rooster is a symbol of France! It is not unusual to find a sculpture signed by an artist even after his death; in this case, the artist died in 1894 and the sculpture was, dated 1914. Measures: 16″ W x 9″ D x 19″ H. SKU: 71-2
