This elegant and colorful antique “Confiturier” (French for jelly cabinet), was created in Italy circa 1920. The cupboard stands on bracket feet and features a single bombe door across the front opening to inside shelving for ultimate storage (the inside and shelf are upholstered with the original paper). The piece is decorated throughout with hand painted polychrome floral and leaf motifs in the beige and gold palette. Signature at lower left side Marini M. The narrow Venetian cabinet is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns the original patinated painted finish. A perfect size for a powder room, entry or hallway. Lock and key included. Measures: 28.5″W x 13.5″D x 35.5″H.
