About
Bring a retro, yet practical touch to any entry or dressing area with this elegant, carved coat stand. The useful hat rack was crafted in France, circa 1920 in the style of German-Austrian cabinet maker, Michael Thonet (1796-1871). The hall tree stands on trestle legs connected with a stretcher. The rack is dressed with a center mirror over a middle shelf decorated with a lyre motif and dressed with a middle drawer. The piece features two rows of hooks for a total of seven double hooks, so it could be used as a dual hat and coat rack. It is also embellished with decorative finials at the pediment. The coat rack is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich light walnut patina throughout. Measures: 36″W x 15″D x 83.5″H.
