Important 19th Century French Marble and Bronze Mantel Clock with Cassolettes
Decorate your mantel with this large antique Empire clock garniture set; crafted in Paris, circa 1860, the time keeper sits on a grey and beige marble bases with four round columns surmounted by a bronze lion sculpture standing proudly at the top. The centre porcelain movement with original mercury pendulum is in wonderful working order and is glass encase. The clock is flanked by a pair of grey and beige marble decorative cassolettes vases on small round feet, and embellished by bronze mounts including ram head and swagging garland motifs and top finials. The garniture set is in excellent condition with rich patinated gilt finish.
