Italian Carved Marble Three-Piece Wall Fountain with Bacchus and Vine Decor
This elegant Italian marble fountain was carved in Italy, circa 2000, made of beige and pink siena marble and built in three sections, the fountain features a carved base, a demilune basin decorated with grape and leaf motifs, and a carved back splash with brass spout embellished with a carved Bacchus face sculpture. The bottom of the bowl has a water drainage hole. The versatile colorful fountain is in excellent condition and would make a wonderful old world statement for a patio, a green room, or could be converted into a powder room sink! Bacchus (also called Dionysus), in then ancient Greek religion and myth, was the god of the grape-harvest, wine-making and wine. He was also known as Bacchus, the name adopted by the Romans.
