Large 19th Century French Leather Top Carved Bleached Oak Table Desk with Drawer
Decorate a study or office with this elegant antique table desk. Crafted in Northern France, circa 1870, the large writing table stands on carved barley twist legs ending with turned feet, and connected with an elegant stretcher at the base. The table is fitted with two wide drawers across the front decorated with carved foliate motifs, and dressed with protruding wild cat pulls. The rectangular top is dressed with the original black leather, and the surface is embellished with molding edges around the perimeter. The Louis XIII style desk is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich bleached patinated finish. The table with large working surface area would make a wonderful addition for a library. Measures: 78″ W x 38.5″ D x 31.25″ H.
