Decorate a den or living room with this important antique coffee table. Crafted in France circa 1880, the massive table stands on thick cabriole legs decorated with carved acanthus leaf motifs at the shoulder, and ending with escargot feet; each leg is further attached to a curved bottom stretcher. The table features an elegant scalloped apron with hand carved shell, foliage and geometric decor in high relief on all four sides; the surface is dressed with a rectangular top with parquetry motifs. The cocktail table is in excellent condition and adorn a two tone hand painted beige base, with a dark oak patinated surface. A real eye catcher! Measures: 78″W x 35″D x 25.5″H.
