Large French Chestnut and Slate Dining Room Table on Forged Wrought Iron Base
This long, antique dining room table was crafted in the French Pyrenees. The top plank is made from 18th century chestnut wood, and is decorated with eight large slate tiles on the surface for a symmetrical, geometric effect. The wide tabletop sits on a curling hand forged wrought iron base embellished with a decorative curved stretcher. Because of its large, impressive size, the table can seat up to 12 or 14 people. The stately, French country farm table is in excellent condition and has a richly patinated finish.
