Add colorful French style to your home with this elegant pair of large, antique painted panels from southern France, circa 1880. One of the pantings features a harbor scene in the manner of Vernet, and the other has a pastoral landscape with a farm and sheep. Both panels are enclosed in a beige and gilt carved cartouche frame. You could place these panels together vertically to fill a wall, or symmetrically on either side of a mantle.
