Bring Classic, Italian elegance into your home with this large Rococo hand carved hall lantern. Crafted in Italy, circa 1760, this traditional polygon light fixture is a true showstopper. The wooden lantern with dome top and scroll decor, has beautiful carvings including acanthus leaf motifs, vine and grape decor. It features three inside lights newly wired dressed with decorative candle sleeve covers, and centered around a brass stem; the inside is further embellished with the old original pink upholstery. The bottom is embellished with an ornate cone shaped finial. The ceiling fixture is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated gold leaf finish. The tall Louis XV style giltwood lantern would make a nice addition to an entryway, hallway or landing. Included: A canopy, loop, and chain; each color-matched to the fixture.
