This large antique brass planter was crafted in France, circa 1870. Round in shape and dressed with lion head figure side handles, the decorative cache pot stands on an integral circular base over a stem embellished with turned ring motifs. The planter features intricate repousse decor of leaf and floral motifs. The large, free standing planter is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated brass finish. It could also be used as an elegant champagne or wine cooler. Weight 14 pounds. Measure: 12″ diameter, 19.5″ height.
