Mid-19th Century French Carved Walnut and Leather Dining Chairs, Set of Six
Dress a dining table or breakfast room with this elegant suite of antique chairs. Crafted in France, circa 1870, each side chair stands on tapered and fluted legs, decorated with turned motifs at the shoulder. Each chair has an arched back embellished with hand carved fruit decor in the center, and a wide and deep seat over a bombe apron. Both comfortable thick seat and padded back are upholstered with a patinated tan leather, dressed with decorative brass nail heads. The sturdy Louis XIII style dining chairs are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and have a rich walnut patina throughout the frame. Measures: 20″W x 17.5″D x 39.25″H.
