Mid-19th Century French Carved Walnut Tilt-Top Wine Tasting Table from Bordeaux

Crafted in the Bordeaux region of France circa 1870, and built of beautiful walnut, the antique wine tasting table features an oval tilt-top surface over a wedge trestle base and rotating lyre shape stretcher; for out of the way storage, fold the top in a vertical configuration. The table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. This Classic find would make a sophisticated, historically relevant addition to a wine cellar, or could be used as a small breakfast table in a kitchenette. Popular in the wine growing regions of France, this kind of table was used each year in all the wineries as connoisseurs tasted the new vintage.
