Mid-19th Century French Copper and Brass Coal Bucket with Dual Handles
This antique coal scuttle was created in France, circa 1860. Built of copper with top and back brass handles, the oblong bucket stands on a round and tapered base. The box is in excellent condition with an original old repair, and adorns a rich patinated copper finish; versatile, it could be use next to a fireplace to store wood burning logs, a planter jardinière, or simply as a decorative accessory on top of kitchen cabinets. Measures: 19″ W x 13.5″ D x 14″ H.
