About
This large, antique, copper marmalade bowl was crafted in Normandy, France, circa 1860. The decorative round “Bassine a Confiture” (jelly bowl), features two forged iron handles on the sides attached with rivets. The simple, traditional kitchen accessory is in excellent condition with rich patinated finish throughout. Both the inside and outside of the bowl have a hammered surface. The piece could be used to boil jam in the kitchen, but could also be used as a planter or waste basket.
