Mid-19th Century French Hand-Painted Blue and White Faience Mantel Clock
Complete your mantel or desk with this antique, hand painted Louis XV mantel clock. Created in France, circa 1860, the time keeper has its original clock mechanism, which has been professionally cleaned and checked. Seated on scroll feet with acanthus leaves, the table clock has a brass rim around its porcelain face, and has Classic Dutch hand painted scenes in blue and white delft style. The traditional motifs include a harbour scene with sailboats, a windmill, and foliage and floral decor. The ceramic piece is in excellent condition, with rich, traditional delft colors. The pendulum and winding key included.
