Mid-19th Century French Louis Philippe Carved Gold Leaf Wall Mirror
Versatile, this Louis Philippe mirror could be hung horizontally or vertically in a number of rooms for a traditional French style, including over a mantel, or in a horizontal position over a long buffet or console. Crafted in the Burgundy region of France, circa 1870, the large antique mirror has traditional, timeless lines with elegant rounded corners. The rectangular thick and carved frame is decorated with a luxurious gold leaf finish; it is further embellished with carved beads around the inside edges. The classic wall piece is in excellent condition with its original mercury glass and wood backing, and adorns a rich and bright patinated gilt finish. New hooks has been installed on the back for easy handling and installation. Measures: 34″ W x 57.75″ H.
