Mid-19th Century French Louis XIII Carved Oak Country Stool from Normandy
This elegant antique stool was created in Northern France, circa 1860. Built of chestnut and rectangular in shape with rounded corners, the piece stands on four turned legs connected with a sturdy stretcher at the bottom. The rustic stool is in excellent condition with a rich dark walnut patina; versatile, it could be used as a small side table, or as a step ladder to reach tall cabinets.
