Mid-19th Century French Louis XIII Walnut Barley Twist Hall Tree Umbrella Stand
This antique carved fruit wood hall tree was crafted in France, circa 1850. Standing on a circular base ending with bun feet, and dressed with a painted iron droplet tray, the tall rack features a barley twist spiral central stem decorated in the center with an iron rack holding up to 20 canes and umbrellas. The top embellished with a decorative central finial, is dressed with six double-arms hat and coat hooks hand carved in solid walnut. The elegant hat and coat hanger is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina and a green painted finish bottom tray. Place this free standing halltree in an entry way or a master bathroom to hang jackets, pants or catch belts! Measures: 23.5″ Diameter 76.5″ height.
