Mid-19th Century French Oil on Canvas Pastoral Painting in Carved Gilt Frame
Set in the a carved giltwood frame with decorative beads, the antique Louis XVI painting was created circa 1850; the art work depicts a pastoral scene with ponds and people in a woody surrounding. A man is fishing while a woman is attending a young boy. The canvas was relined in France; the painting is in excellent condition with rich colors in the green, beige and blue palette.
